Executive Staff

Christopher Van Dusen, CPO, FAAOP, President
Christopher Van Dusen has been working in the prosthetic and orthotic industry since 1976. He completed his formal training at the University of Minnesota Medical School (Minneapolis, Minnesota), and achieved certification in both prosthetics and orthotics from the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC). Chris has been owner and President of Nelson Prosthetic & Orthotic Laboratory since 1993. Prior to joining Nelson, he was with American Prosthetics in Kenmore, New York. Chris is a Fellow and a member of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, a member of the International Society for Prosthetists and Orthotists and the New York Orthotic-Prosthetic Association. Daniel J. Wojcik, CPO, P.T.
Daniel J. Wojcik joined the staff of Nelson in 1995, after working as a Staff Physical Therapist at Buffalo General Hospital. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy at Daemen College (Buffalo, New York), and became certified in Prosthetics in 1997 and Orthotics in 2001 by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC). Dan is an active member of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP), and is currently serving on the Academy's NYS Chapter's Board. E-mail:


Joyelle Krysztof, CO
Joyelle Krysztof received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo, where she graduated with honors. She joined the Nelson Staff in 2000, and completed the Long-Term Certificate Course in Orthotics at Northwestern University (Chicago, Illinois). Joyelle became an American Board Certified (ABC) Orthotist in February 2003. E-mail:


Donald House, CO, P.T.
Don House received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Daemen College (Buffalo, New York) in 1992, and became a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy in 1999. Prior to entering the Prosthetic and Orthotic field, he was Director of Physical Therapy for Western New York Physical Therapy at Village Glen. Don joined the Staff at Nelson in 2000, and completed the Long Term Certificate Course in Orthotics at Northwestern University (Chicago, Illinois). Don became an American Board Certified (ABC) Orthotist in August 2002. In addition, Don is an Associate Faculty Member at Northwestern University's Prosthetic and Orthotic Center. E-mail:
